Forthbank is the destination for Ray McKinnon’s men on Saturday as they look to build on recent league form that has seen the Spiders take 10 points from 12 in the last four matches. The Binos, who have won four from their last five in the league will be looking to continue their good run of form and put an end to another run which has saw them lose their last four home games on the bounce. One things for sure, if recent meetings of the sides and the league table are anything to go by, it’s likely to be a closely fought encounter.

Head Coach Ray McKinnon spoke to the club media team on the eve of the game and gave his thoughts, saying: “We’re going into the game looking to take three points and continue our recent run of positive results in the league. It’s important, if we are to continue doing that, that we look to find a level of consistency.

“We know it will be a very tough game against a Stirling Albion side who have won four of their last five, including an impressive victory away to Edinburgh City last week, and whilst we will give them total respect, we need to focus on our approach to the game.

“From our perspective if we can approach the game in the manner that we have worked on in training this week, be focussed from the first kick off the ball, and implement our game plan, we’ll give ourselves a good chance of getting the result we want. That will only come with hard work and the players know what is expected and required from them in that regard.

The gaffer was delighted to be able to further add to the squad this week with the arrivals of experienced goalkeeper Cammy Bell, and midfielder Adam King who has joined on loan from Dundee United. Both go straight into the squad for tomorrow and Ray was also pleased to confirm the return of Joffrey Lidouren and Kieran Moore, both of whom missed out last week through injury. On the injury front Craig Slater is sidelined after being forced off during his debut last week, with midfielder Calvin McGrory and defender Lewis Magee remaining unavailable as they both battle back from their respective injuries.

Commenting on this week’s arrivals, Ray said: “Adam is a talented footballer and it’s great to be able to bring him to the club on loan until the end of the season. Despite still being a young player, Adam has played at a high level having been at Hearts, Swansea and Dundee United and we hope that he can make a real impact during his time at Queen’s Park.

“I’m also delighted to been able to bring Cammy in. I think any club that wants to be successful has to have two extremely good goalkeepers, and we now have that. Cammy is a top goalkeeper who I worked with at Dundee United and Falkirk, he’s also played at a very high level at Rangers and it’s excellent to have him at the club.”
